House of Plasma

House of Plasma improves production processes with plasmas on the basis of its own innovative measurement technology: the MRP. By using this sensor and knowledge-based control technology, resource usage and process times can be reduced in all production areas of plasma-based surface treatment (from the coating of eyeglass lenses to the production of state-of-the-art computer chips) while product quality increases.

What are the advantages of a start-up?
If you like a job where you are always learning, then founding a startup is just the right thing. You have to and are allowed to work on your own responsibility and push your own ideas.

What were the main hurdles in the start-up process?
House of Plasma is a spin-off from engineering research. Therefore, it was first of all important to change our perspective and develop a real business plan with a market analysis, including all economic and commercial aspects. This is quite different from the research applications we were used to before.

Do you have any tips for you fellow founders?
Most important is the network building. You can't know everything, but you can get the knowledge. And it takes a lot of stamina - not everything always works out. But it will!
