Creating ideas through innovations

idea-ly takes the ideas in people’s heads to the companies, cities and associations of this world. This is done using software that makes it fun to submit, analyse and implement ideas for product innovations, more efficient processes and sustainable improvements.
Jessica and Niklas, what made you decide to start your own business?
We can only recommend a start-up to anyone who can improve the world with their idea and who is passionate about this idea. This approach creates a sense of commitment, both to oneself and to the product. If you believe in what you’re doing and can convince people of your product, you have no choice but to set up a company. Otherwise, you will wake up at some point and ask yourself: What would have happened if...?
What were the main hurdles in the start-up process?
We set up our company at a time when a lot of things were being put to the test: the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak, we wore masks at the launch. The crisis highlighted the need for everyone’s ideas in order to be able to react flexibly to challenges, and we gained our first customers such as BVB and the Port of Duisburg. At the same time, it became very difficult for all start-ups looking for initial financing to get investment. That has been the biggest obstacle so far.
Do you have any tips for you fellow founders?
Tell as many people as possible about your idea and don’t be too arrogant to accept feedback.
