Hardy, what do you think are the advantages of a start-up?
The main advantage is being able to work without any restrictions from supervisors. I also appreciate the flexible working hours and locations, the diverse tasks, the complete personal responsibility and the direct contact with decision-makers.

Were there any hurdles in the start-up process?
No. Since I started my own business while I was still a student, I wasn’t under pressure to generate a minimum turnover.

Do you have any tips for you fellow founders?
It’s important to keep expenses as low as possible, especially at the beginning. Even if things aren’t going so well, you should believe in the next job – it will come! For difficult jobs, the principle applies: “close your eyes and keep going”, even as your hourly wage is melting away. And finally: mistakes happen. They are there to learn from!
