Microalgae like spirulina or chlorella are a high-yield source of protein and are considered superfoods. PhycoSystems is developing a reactor system for the industrial production of microalgae as food and animal feed. Innovative bioreactors are used to produce microalgae such as Spriulina and Chlorella as protein-rich biomass.
