WORLDFACTORY Demo Day 2024

At university, you learn for life. And not just theoretically, as the numerous exciting startups already proved at our first big Demo Day in 2023 – we want to build on this success this year. With the WORLDFACTORY Startup Center at Ruhr University Bochum, we support founders from the world of science in entering the business world. At our second WSC Demo Day, we are now shining the spotlight on our current top ten teams.

From exhilarating pitches to immersive tours through the Makerspace, accompanied by delightful refreshments and insights from experts in both science and business, this event promises to be a true highlight for participants and spectators alike. It’s an opportunity for the curious to peek into the dynamic world of startups, for aspiring young founders to be inspired in real-time, and for visionary entrepreneurs to catch a glimpse of tomorrow’s leading companies. It’s the epitome of the startup scene.

10 WORLDFACTORY teams, pre- and post-foundation, will perform their best in exciting pitches to convince the top-class jury. At the end of the evening, the jury will select the top 5 RUB start-ups for 2024. The top 3 winning teams will benefit from prize money of a total of 3,000 euros, sponsored by NRW.BANK.

The Makerspace Tour starts at 4 pm. As places are limited, prior registration is required.
