It deals with matters such as protecting IT systems from attacks, controlling the data exchange of automated vehicles and making the interaction between people and technology more secure. In “Cube5”, groundbreaking IT ideas are born and tested in an interdisciplinary setting. Located at the renowned Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, the Incubator promotes start-ups focusing on cyber security. It is also home to Germany’s only cluster of excellence in the field of IT security: “CASA: Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries”.
